This week Magic Jack announced their Magic Talk for the people that are looking forward to make calls to internet-connected phones and computers. This software will be a best way to waive the upfront costs in this kind of phone calling capabilities. In an interview Dan Borislow, CEO of Magic Jack said that this service is as same as Google voice and Skype.

Only difference would be that this software got capabilities to call at free-calls to regular telephones bit by charging the companies that carry incoming calls. Presently these services are available on windows and Mac next week, with iOS, BlackBerry and Android operating system’s by October. Borislow also said that company’s legally-ambiguous is now on hold. Actually the device can’t legitimately muster up enough power without a cellular carrier on board.

Surprisingly there is another news and new addition to Net Talk last week. Net Talks’ pair of competing VoIP boxes now support free video calls. Now this latest announcement from Magic Jack can make this facility lot insecure in the field of business

    I chatted with Magic Jack tech support. I was getting the d=same message I just. closed that window and MJ started fine. From what I was told some MJ users were selected to Beta Test Magic Talk and given a code. Unfortunately all MJ users have been getting that window asking for a code. Tech support said that eventually all MJ users will ave access to Magic Talk. No estimated target date.

    For all the crap that I have had to deal with to include them losing my call lists and records of calls NOT once but twice and thier insidious continuation of hiding their owner of the company from the wrath of pissed off customers when their IT people screw up and leave me stranded with no contact list or record of important calls made…..I SHOULD HAVE RECIEVED THIS CODE!!!

    i can sure feel the same way about the majic jack ,i have not been able to use mj for 2 months because of that maj talk screen will not allow me to install the one for its blasted BLUE SCREEN KEEPS POPPING UP AND BLOCKS MAJAK FROM WORKING , IT ASK ME FOR THAT BLANKING CODE FOR MAJ CALL OF WHICH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS ,???? SO I CANT USE THE MAJ JACK PERIOD . I HAVE A NOTION TO SUE THE RATS FOR FRAUD , IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EASY FOR THE AVG USER HA HA HA , BAT MAN FORE EVER , I GOT SCREWED FOR I BOUGHT 6 MONTHS OF GARBAGE , THEIR TECHS KEEP BLAMING MY COMP . BIG JOKE.
    SO MUCH FOR MY INVESTMENT TO NOTHING . SCREWED AGAIN BY THE GREAT & WEALTHY PRICKS OF THE NET .

    an instruction to resolve the problem:

    1)Unplug MajicJack
    2)Ctr+Alt+Del…….> Start task manager…..> choose magic jack >>>>click end task
    3)Plug MajicJack

    It took me three minutes to figure out what to do? Unplug the magic jack and plug it back in then quickly click close on the the pesky magic talk screen and even quicker close the original magic jack screen and then wait for the new magic jack screen to open and thats is it!

    No codes yet. Just do what the instructions on the pop say: plug in yoiur magic jack. If it’s areadly in, pull it out and put it back in.

    For those of you that cannot get rid of the BLUE SCREEN – Simply do not enter a code…

    Press CTRL and ALT and DEL (Delete) Key.. and this will bring up the Task Manager
    Choose to End the task of MAGIC JACK

    Once this is done.. UNPLUG YOUR MAGIC JACK

    Wait approx 2 minutes and PLUG YOUR MAGIC JACK BACK IN

    I, probably like most, have my MagicJack plugged into a USB port on the back of my computer. My computer is at the side of my desk so I can see behind it quite easily.
    Recently after powering down my system, I noticed the blue LED inside the MagicJack was still on. I immediately turned my computer back on and was greeted with the MagicTalk beta screen that wanted an input code. I turned my system off once more and noticed the blue LED was still on. I flipped the power switch on my power supply to off, waited for the residual power to bleed off, turned it back to on, powered up my computer and “Voila” no more beta screen. This accomplished the same thing as unplugging and plugging the MagicJack back in to my USB port, but I don’t like plugging and unplugging items as it can and will cause the plug to weaken. I’ve had this occur more than once and just turning my power supply off has fixed the problem. Try this procedure and see if it works for you. Good Luck

    MagicJack/MagicTalk are about as dependable as your avg. politician. Just sold mine on Amazon and good riddance to it. Good luck to the sucker that bought it, too.

    I have never had a minute’s trouble with my Magic Jack and it works better than I thought it would. Maybe your jack was defective or something is why it wouldn’t work right. I really love mine.

    I have been a mj user for 2 yrs now. Sure beats the 50 bucks a month that AT&T was charging me. I too had the Magic Talk mess up my mj service. Talked to a live chat rep this morning. She was great, walked me through a reload and voila! Magic Jack is back! Wouldn’t drop this service for all the tea in China. If you are too stupid to use it then you probably shouldn’t use it.

    I have never have problem with my MJ until this so call magictalk started to pop up and all of sudden my MJ is messed up and all calls in and out were cutting during a short communication, I do not like such majictalk but I don’t know how to bring my MJ to live. Please help

    I purchased the 5 yr plan after a 1 yr plan and now they expect me to unplug, click here ,click there, wait, plug in, every day. This is not what I signed up for. I think it’s a marketing scam. they should leave things the way they were or refund my money.

    I just had the same problem today. I fixed mine at least for the time being.

    When the magictalk screen appears UNPLUG your magicjack froomk the USB port on your computer.

    Then click on close on the magictalk screen.

    Then PLUG in your magicjack to the USB port on your computer and your magicjack should come back.
    Mine did!

    IF and WHEN you should get a sudden hone call from a 866 number click on “DECLINE” and tyour magicjack should work again. Mine did and does so far.

    I shut my comuter off and restarted it again and my magicjack was working and NO magictalk beta screen.

    Will try again later but is working OK now.

    Well,almost read all comments and many of you seems to be unhappy with Magicjack.Let me tell all of you that those errors that you get or problems are mainly from the PC itself and hasn’t to do nothing with magicjack! Since last month when I installed it (magicktalk) it works great and perfect!
    Check your PC’s or laptops before you work on.Make it Viruse or erors free!

    I have had M J since Sept. 2008 and it is GREAT! I signed up for the discounted 5yrs. service because it saves me so much money and it sounds and works great too. Like any phone system or computer system there will be occasional errors. I have had only minor glitches that were fixed easy by restarting magic jack from its menu or restarting my computer. Most of the problems will be my internet provider and its signal, which is rare also. In over 2 years using magic jack it has been very close to 100% problem free for me on this 10 year old computer.

    get someone from sales line, once you got someone, they will be force to assist you or transfer you to the appropriate person, but you have to wait and be patient. and customer support email address is magicjackcustomerservice@magicjack.com. hopefully this will help. They do response and i am happy soo far as of now.. let see what happend in the future.

    To whom it may concern, just go into Control Panel select uninstall programs. Uninstall MagicJack. Then remove your magicjack adapter, then reinsert it and wait for it to download. Problem Solved.

    The only problem I might have with magictalk is that even though I have already paid for their magicjack service is that I will have to once again pay for this service. The magicjack unit is nice but, only through modification because though it is a sealed unit, it often overheated and constantly reset itself so I modded the case to allow a cooling fan and since have had no problems other than lousy bresnan high speed of a joke service.

    I have had my magic jack since 2008. I bought the 5 year package. theother day my magic jack went dead. They replaced it for $10 shipping and handling not bad for out of warranty.

    I’ve been using MJ for over a year and it works just fine. Many of the user problems are with the computer. Not the MJ unit. Generally, any problem can be fixed with a simple reboot and/or replug to the USB. Viruses and malwear will glitch it. So, keep your computer clean.

    well if you can log into your ACCOUNT you go to talk to a live agent or techincal support, and keep following the inst until u get a live agent and they will tell u your xpiration date, as well as help with your problem,

    got magic talk on monday ,now can make calls to mexico and i been useing mj for 2 years with no problem now tec suport wont even how to remove magictalk was with them 2 times for over 2 hours each time and they can even getting it to work , after 2 years of happy with mj now im very upset with them

    I suggest you quit being cheap and get a higher band width DSL. 1.5 G is more than enough to make magic jack work great. The low priced 512 will not work with magic jack or Vonage.

    Unplug your magic jack from your computer and then plug back in. Your magic jack will then restart itself. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

    I’ve been a magicjack customer just over two years.  In my opinion, you can’t beat the price or the quality. Now if I could fax through it, I’d be set!

    My daughter installed Magicjack in VietNam and she call for me in the US .It is OK .But I can not call for her in VN .The operator need enter Magic talk number .I don”t know HOW I do it ,teach me please.
