How To Turn Off Google Instant Search

Google Instant is a new search enhancement that shows results as you type. There are several advantages of this new feature:

Faster Searches: By predicting your search and showing results before you finish typing, Google Instant can save 2-5 seconds per search.

Smarter Predictions: Even when you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, predictions help guide your search. The top prediction is shown in grey text directly in the search box, so you can stop typing as soon as you see what you need.

Instant Results: Start typing and results appear right before your eyes. Until now, you had to type a full search term, hit return, and hope for the right results. Now results appear instantly as you type, helping you see where you’re headed, every step of the way.

However, if you are finding Google Instant to be annoying or distracting, you can easily turn it off. To turn Google Instant off, go to your Google Search Preferences (the gear icon at the top right hand corner of Google.com) and select the radio button that says “Do not use Google Instant”. After, save your preferences. That’s it, Google Instant should be gone now.

iTunes 10.5 Beta 2 Could Not be Synced Because the Sync Session Failed to Start

You are probably wanting to upgrade your iTunes 10.5.0 Beta 1 to 10.5.0 Beta 2 but get error message: Could Not be Synced Because the Sync Session Failed to Start when syncing iPhone. I feel your pain because I was troubleshooting that issue whole morning.

So now that you are on 10.5 beta 2 iTunes we need to go back to 10.5 beta 1, because we need to sync your phone first.

  1. Remove the 10.5 beta 2 iTunes.
  2. Find the 10.5 beta 1 iTunes installation
  3. After instalation you might get error “iTunes Library.itl”
    1. to fix that go to Music folder, iTunes. Rename iTunes Library to something else
  4. Run the iTunes 10.5 beta 1 , sync your iPhone, or iDevice…
  5. Now unplug your iDevice (iPhone in my case)
  6. Start installing iTunes 10.5 beta 2

I have seen Bad Teacher movie, but before I went to see the movie I had hard time finding rating and reviews about Bad Teacher movie. So I thought why not sharing my findings with MWD audience ?

Movie for me is good, we all are into different type of comedy movies but Bad Teacher movie is one of those “Goofy Comedies”

“Bad Teacher” is exactly the one-joke movie that you probably expect it to be, but there are enough variations and shadings of that one joke to sustain its brief running time — just barely.

For the first time since her unforgettable appearance in the Farrelly Brothers’ 1998 gross out comedy “There’s Something About Mary” Cameron Diaz fulfills her comedic promise.

Its been 4 years since I have been on Stumbleupon and I really would love to see if the traffic from Stumbleupon is still the TOP source to get traffic from. I am sure with help of you few that visited and thumb up this post we can show the world that StumbleUpon is the best sharing social network.

I would like to compare Digg, Reddit and Stumbleupon incoming traffic, and how really easy is to gain traffic from Stumbleupon vs landing on Reddit or Digg front page. Which will tell me and you (if you visit tomorrow) that you don’t need to have 1.5 million followers to receive traffic.

How long will this experiement be?

iPhone 4 WiFi Grayed Out or No WiFi Bar

I got few questions about iPhone 4 WiFi Grayed out bar or No WiFi bar at all. Just recently I had that happen to me as well on my iPhone 4 and then few minutes 5 of research, I finally found the resolution on how to fix iPhone 4 WiFi Grayed out bar.

  1. Go To Settings
  2. Click on Safari
  3. Go bit down and click Clear Cache, Clear Cookies, Clear History
  4. Hold the Top (sleep/awake) button until you get red bar to swipe it
  5. Swipe the red bar to the left (iPhone 4 should now turn off)
  6. Then Hold the Top (Sleep/Awake) button until you see Apple logo
  7. Wait until front screen displays
  8. See if that fixed it.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi (Wireless) Troubleshooting Tips and Tricks

iPad 2 Wi-Fi Troubleshooting is pretty much easy because we wrote few posts about how to fix Wireless on iOS and most likely it’s all the same. Here are some of the basic steps to fix your iPad 2 Wireless Internet.

1. Go to Settings

2. Go to Wi-FI

3. Click on Your Wireless

4. Punch in your WEP key

5. Connect to it.

Still have issues?

Unplug from power from: Modem, Router (Shut down Pc’s / Mac’s if you can or want to).

Wait about 1 minute, plug-in power back to your modem  wait about 30 seconds, then plugin power on your router , and redo the steps above (skip step 4 if your network is not secured)

If you still have issues, possible problem is that your router has MAC filtering turned on , which basically blocks all devices that MAC addresses are not added. So you might want to check that. If you get 169.x.x.x iP possible chance is that you are not getting an IP from your router, in that  case please do shut down ALL your devices down modem, router, pc’s …repeat the steps above but turn try connecting with iPhone first before you turn on any pc’s/Mac’s.

Your wep key can be found in Router’s settings page, go to google and type your routers model number and add “manual” or if you do have manuals, please do check on how to get to your routers settings page. In 70% cases you can get to it via browser by typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 by using username: Admin password: password

It says that I am unable to join to my network with iPad 2?

Make sure you have MAC filtering turned off, or you might of forgot to add MAC address of your iPad 2 to your routers settings.

Does iPad 2 support WPA, WEP, WPA-PSK?

Just so you know, lots of people by now probably know what your email address is on Facebook, well learn now how to hide email address on Facebook info profile as well as the phone number. It takes just few seconds to do it!

Login to your Facebook Profile

Click on Account Button on top right corner, and click on Privacy Settings.

Now click on Customize on the left side and then “customize settings” at the middle bottom window.

Ok, if you scroll down to the bottom you should see Contact Information.

Now to hide things from your Facebook Profile page, just click on the left where it says “Friends Only” and select Customize. It should give you an option saying “ONLY ME” that’s exactly what you need to do. That information is going to be visible only to you, so make sure you log out and check your Facebook profile page and that your Email, Phone Number, Address is hidden.
