Get New Facebook Profile

Dec 052010

Just saw a link that friend of mine sent me via Facebook that actually switched my Facebook Profile to New Facebook Profile. See it for your self:

Well as you can see there is a lot of new things such as sharing your pictures just like before but it looks better, they also updated the navigation bar on the side which is a lot easier to navigate  than what it was before. Then you can share things like common interest and stuff like that.

Overall its not a major upgrade so don’t be all hyper what the new look and feel will give you. The New profile on Facebook is more for your visitors to see who you are, what you are all about and stuff like that.

Well I hope you are going to like it, so for now please click the FShare button at the top, and then click this link to get new facebook profile!

Facebook Bug is a Way for Spammers to get Users Information

Aug 122010

Facebook is struggling to fix a bug in its website. This bug can create a way for spammers to learn more information about users on Facebook. User’s names and photographs will face a great threat through this bug from spammers.
Every time a wrong password entry through e-mail address log in procedure will prompt to re-enter the password. This action always associated with flashing the Facebook photo and full name of the user associated with that mail address.
In fact, this feature is to help the user in finding the mistake committed while logging in. But, misusage of this situation could lead to leakage of Facebook’s 500 million user’s information. There is a possibility that a spammer with the e-mail list can exploit this feature to a greater extent.
Also, there is a possibility that someone could explore this feature to generate random e-mail addresses. Harvesting data is the very much possible through this feature and could be a great threat to members at the Facebook in many ways.
Facebook said in response to this as “We have technical system in place to prevent people’s names and photos from showing to unrelated users upon login, but a recently introduced bug temporarily prevented these form working as intended”, a company spokeswoman said in an e-mail message “We are already working on a fix and expect to remedy the situation shortly”.

Want Millions of Users Like FaceBook? Build FaceBook 1.0

May 282010

A lot of users are just fed up with whole Facebook Privacy Issues and some even are deleting Facebook accounts! Quit Facebook Day just rolled out 3 days ago, website that encourages you to delete Facebook Account. In those 3 days over 23.000 Facebook users already committed that they will quit Facebook.

Well I think it’s perfect time for another Social Networking site that is just like Facebook but without all Privacy bullshi* and Mark Zuckerberg Ego?

My personal Facebook would be something like this:

  • Apps with no Credit Card forms (Advertisement Allowed)
  • Easy Account Management Control
  • Easy Photo Management with Privacy Control
  • Simple Navigation (Sidebar)
  • Easy to block everything you dislike (Apps, All Apps)

And also Facebook theme which existed back in 2007 , not the new one with all the crap and hard to find navigation.

How would you like your Facebook profile to be?

Facebook Logins

Mar 242010

Facebook now with over 350 Million people registered many of them login differently to Facebook. Some login via Apps they downloaded, some type in “Facebook Login” in Google, Bing and click on first link or whatever makes them more convincing that that is Facebook Login page.

Thing is that out of those 350 million people who login on daily basis some get phishing sites who steal their email address and password and most likely that same password is same for most of their accounts such as Online Banking, Gmail, MySpace and other sites they visit on daily basis.

Well luckily Google, Bing, Yahoo and other popular search engines now days if you search for Facebook Login , first link is always the one and only http://www.facebook.com

And If you are using Firefox, you probably noticed Green and Red address bar ?

Green = Good to go

Red = Probably best thing to do is hit X right away.

Reason I also am mentioning today about Facebook Login page is because people lately are getting their FB accounts hacked very easily.  Hacker steals 1 Facebook username and password > Logs in and Sends phishing message to Friends and that’s how the list grows.
